The Centre for the Study of Contemporary Women’s Writing (CCWW) is pleased to announce the CCWW SAS-Space collection. Part of the School of Advanced Study’s e-repository, SAS-Space, at the University of London, this collection contributes to CCWW’s online resources for the promotion and facilitation of research on contemporary women’s writing.

The competition for postgraduate studentships under the London Arts and Humanties Partnership scheme is now open and applications are invited for qualified candidates in the field of modern languages. Up to 80 studentships are available from the academic year 2015-2016 for postgraduate research at the School of Advanced Study (University of London), King's College London, and University College London within the framework of the London Arts and Humanities Partnership.

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified individual to develop research promotion and facilitation activities in the field of Germanic Studies at the Institute of Modern Languages Research. This will include convening academic events, coordinating publications, and developing new collaborations to benefit the Institute. The post-holder will also be expected to carry out and present high quality research in the field, and to seek new areas of research.

Last week’s triennial international conference of the Research Centre for German and Austrian Exile Studies at the IMLR attracted a great deal of interest, not least by being attended by nearly 70 academics and other researchers from the UK and the Republic of Ireland, as well as from countries all over Europe and North America.
