Miller Archive Catalogue Online

Friday 14 March 2014

The Institute is pleased to announce that the cataloguing of the Miller Archive, the papers of Austrian exile actors, Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert-Miller, is complete.

The papers contain scripts, photographs, publicity material and audio recordings, relating mainly to the Millers’ work in theatre and radio in pre-1938 Austria, and in wartime and post-war Britain. It includes a rich record of the work of the Austrian exile theatre in London, the Laterndl. A description of the collection can be found on the Institute’s website, and the collection can be searched via Senate House Library’s online catalogue.

Recordings of music from the Miller collection, performed by West End theatre actor Julian Forsyth and pianist Malcolm Miller, at the Bloomsbury Festival event ‘Political Cabaret in Exile’ in October 2013, are now available to listen to online here. More information about the collection is available from the archivist’s blog: Cataloguing the Martin Miller and Hannah Norbert-Miller Archive.
