The assessment of the Research training element of the MRes will take the form of a draft bibliography and plan for the dissertation, submitted on the first Friday of Summer Term. The RT assessment will be double-marked and count for 10% of the degree (18 credits).
Assessment will consist of a 5000-word essay submitted for each term of on the first Friday of the following term. The two assessed essays will be double-marked and each count for 20% of the degree: 40% in all (36 + 36 = 72 credits).
The dissertation will count for 50% of the degree, and 10% of this will be the mark for the oral presentation (90 credits overall, of which 9 are for the oral).
